(MPI Portal) – On March 25th, at the headquarters of Ministry of Planning and Investment, Minister Bui Quang Vinh had a meeting with Italy Ambassador in Vietnam, Mr. Lorenzo Angeloni.

At the meeting, Ambassador Lorenzo Angeloni informed to Minister Bui Quang Vinh about the visit to Vietnam of Italy Prime Minister Matteo Renzi and Vietnam - Italy economic cooperation forum which is scheduled to take place in June. The Ambassador hoped that in the visit, Vietnam Government would arrange time to exchange with Italian enterprises to promote the potential cooperation between the two countries in the next time.
According to the Ambassador, Italy realized prospect of Vietnam economy after signing the Agreement of Trans-Pacific Stragegic Partnership (TPP). This is a good opportunity for cooperation between the two countries. Italy is an industrialized country in Europe, while Vietnam needs experience and technology. Minister Bui Quang Vinh said that Italy is an industrialized country but not much its enterprises invest to Vietnam. Especially, Italy strongly develops small and medium enterprises, which is one of the Italy’s strengths and Vietnam has demand to develop industry./.
